Job Description

At Prinstar1 Homecare, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patients’ physical abilities, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase strength. Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting patient assessments: This involves evaluating patients’ physical abilities, medical histories, and personal goals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Developing treatment plans: Physical Therapists create customized treatment plans that include exercises, stretches, and other interventions designed to improve patients’ mobility, reduce pain, and increase strength.
  • Implementing therapy interventions: Physical Therapists work with patients to carry out their treatment plans, monitoring their progress and adjusting the plan as needed.
  • Educating patients: Physical Therapists educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and strategies for preventing further injury.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals: Physical Therapists work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Maintaining patient records: Physical Therapists maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Ensuring patient safety: Physical Therapists take measures to ensure that patients are safe during therapy sessions, including monitoring vital signs and providing appropriate equipment and support.
  • Participating in professional development: Physical Therapists stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in their field by attending conferences, workshops, and other training opportunities.

Skill & Experience

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • A valid license to practice physical therapy in the state where the job is located.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics.
  • Ability to assess patients’ physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing various therapy interventions and techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase strength.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform therapeutic exercises and techniques.
  • Knowledge and adherence to ethical and legal standards of the physical therapy profession.
